The city of white birches

Most of the residential development in Berezniki is located above the mines of the Berezniki mining Administration. From 1986 to the present day, man-made earthquakes have been occurring in the city and subsidence (sinkholes) have been forming. Part of the city is flooded today, many houses have literally gone underground.
The project is based on my feelings when returning to my small homeland as an adult. The fixation of the actual and mental changes in this place against the background of the general state of the city. 

In addition to the photographs taken on the territory of Berezniki, the series includes photographs provided by the city archive, as well as photographs from the family archive.
